Meet JaRell McIntyre, president and founder of Dunamis Distribution, California’s premier small and minority-owned business enterprise (MBE) for sourcing and distribution of both industrial and medical supplies. Our aim is to provide knowledgeable, efficient, and customer-centric solutions for organizations that are focused on elevating their supplier diversity efforts.

Starting a business had been a dream of mine since childhood. I was inspired by other people I saw successfully transition from corporate careers to owning their own businesses. I've been taking mental notes on what I wanted to do for a very long time now, and that dream eventually became a reality with Dunamis Distribution.

My advice to fellow minority business owners is to excel, understanding that the scales in which we are measured and resourced will not always be fair. We control the way we show up every day and the quality of the work we produce. Embrace excellence in your craft and always strive to surpass expectations despite the obstacles.

I love the creative process of building. There is something about setting a long-term goal and going after it brick-by-brick. I also enjoy the flexibility to make informed decisions in the moment without all the large company bureaucracy. It's about the freedom to shape our own destiny.

I believe that every business is in the People Business. The people are the most challenging and most rewarding to me. I've been a part of winning teams, both athletically and in business, and I enjoy seeing the team work through the various stages of coming together and ultimately having success.

I would love to compete in Bass fishing tournaments, pursuing a passion that brings both excitement and relaxation.

My childhood dream was to be a professional baseball player, but I always saw myself transitioning into business at some point. Today, I find myself living that dream of entrepreneurship, where building a business has become the focus of my passion and ambition.

My career has been highlighted by the teams that I have been a part of. I have had the distinct honor to lead high-performing teams nationally, and I am thankful for both the relationships formed and the success we had. Many of those team members are friends today.
